One week to go and spots are still up for grabs! Patriots have their first place destiny in their hands as they hold the tie-break over the Packers by virtue of their week 3 win over the Pack. Assuming the Pack takes care of business at 9:30, they'll be cheering for the 49ers in the late game as they hold the tie-breaker over them thanks to their week 4 win over the 9ers. The 49ers will be cheering for the Browns in the 9:30 game so they can hold their destiny with a win over the Pats. And that's just first place. Looking at the final playoff spot, the Broncos are still very much alive, they'll be cheering for the Packers because a Browns loss will put their destiny in their hands against the Cowboys who will be playing for as high as a second place finish (Packers loss, 49ers win) although they could still finish fourth even with a win but only as low as fifth with a loss (and a Redskins win). There are more scenarios that will impact the middle of the standings, but I think this is enough for this morning. The only thing we know for sure is that the Steelers will not be in the top 8 (although they could avoid a last place finish with a win over the Ravens and a Broncos loss, but that's barely a moral victory...)

A very vocal TJ strongly voices his issues with Spack and the 'Boys last week only to retreat with his tail between his legs at the first sign of conflict. And then he doesn't show up Saturday. C'mon Man!!

Spack writes on the board in response to it, probably more than he's ever written on the board before(maybe even ever written period). It was actually articulate, thoughtful, and concise(Must have had #88 proofread it). And then he doesn't show up. C'mon Man!!

Noah does absolutely nothing to refute his reputation as a fair weather QB, by tossing up a stinker against the lowly Broncos. That was the game to get that monkey off your back. C'mon Man!!

Adam and the Steelers has the 'Boys right where they wanted them and couldn't get the W. C'mon Man!!

Drew Brees, Dez Bryant, Tony Romo, Phillip Rivers, RG3, Jets, All Redskin receivers, C'mon Man!!

I am having my wisdom teeth taken out on Wednesday, so Browns, please take it easy on me. I don't know how heavy my drugging will be and I can definitely not play well under those circumstances so covering me is definitely not going to help your team. Just saying. Also I will definitely not be scoring at all so if I run down field, just let me go as Raf will have no reason to give me the deep ball.

Thanks for the help guys and have fun!

P.S. I will also not play well on defense, so throw my way as much as you can. It will for sure assist you in the win!

Since it's near that time of year, I'd like to take it upon my self to be the first. I want to give my thoughts on how the playoff picture will play out this year.

1st - Patriots
2nd - Packers
3rd - 49ers
4th - Cowboys
5th - Giants
6th - Ravens
7th - Redskins
8th - Browns
9th - Broncos
10th - Steelers

Not much change at the top but the bottom of the pack fighting for who will play which of the higher seeds.

Top 4 After Round 1
1 - Patriots
2 - Packers
3 - Cowboys
4 - Ravens

Let's see how this compares to what will happen!

How the hell are the Patriots, 49ers and Packers battling for the league championship? I have absolutely no clue, and I'll tell you why
The Patriots
- It’s a good thing the league introduced a seventh defender because Collin only passes to two guys on offense. So at least the other guys can see the ball on defense
- I can't believe defenders still fall for Mike Hadden's down, out, down, out, down, out and downs - If Collin is looking at him it's going to him long - Collin can't throw short
- Dasilva can only catch slants; they send Hadden long and Dasilva across the field.
- Want to beat them? Only cover Hadden and Dasilva, make them work on defense as Hadden and Dasilva will be doing a lot of running on O. Finally, get in Collins face, I swear he steps over the line every time he throws

The 49ers
- How did the two most over rated receivers (Heath and Schleiffer) end up on the same team? That's really all I need to say but I'll continue…
- This team gives up huge plays on defense; they have weaknesses all over the field
- Offensively Chambers is throwing well but his receivers drop at least 1/3 of the balls thrown directly at them
- Want to beat them? Leave their receivers open, they'll do the rest and go long it's been working.

The Packers
- Want to be Spack (Raf) never comes off the field, how teams don't go directly at him is beyond me
- Raf loves the outside parts of the field and using his snapper
- His receivers like the 49ers have difficulty catching the ball
- Want to beat them? Make Raf throw inside and cover his snapper. Throw directly at him, as he's not agile or quick

Happy Halloween

Who will take first who will take first. That depends on their level of thirst.
The winner of 9 o'clock game could yield this years WMFL champ.
Will Mr. Hadden choke and his dreams dimming on his fragile lamp.
Or will chambers play as solid as he has been all year and finish first.
The oracle sees 2 things.. Colin throwing to the same 2 targets as he has
been all year...and losing!!!

I just heard that the Patriots picked up a QB at the trade deadline.
Apparently this guy is still on a substance suspension.

Are things that desperate in Patriots land?
An impending coup Colin should know about??

3-2 last week, now 11-10 for the season. I would like to have one perfect week this season, let`s see if we can`t make it this week.

My three stars for last week are:

3> Lance (Toast) – Filled in for TJ. Although you didn`t win, you were willing to put yourself in the cross-hairs in a tough game. Well done!!
2> Jomo R – Filling in for the oft-maligned Spack and piloting the team to a win. Well done number 88. May be he would let you do it again, lol. Probably not...
1> All those on the 49ers, Redskins, Cowboys, Browns and Ravens who reffed last week – the weather was ugly. Those that hung around or showed up early to ref deserve our thanks. It was not a nice day to be hanging around when not playing…

Too bad TJ and Spack weren`t there last week so that they could continue their board attacks. The Trash board is pretty quiet without them…

Not enough time this week to do a full review of player vs player for every game. There seems to be lots of incentives for various teams this week, which hopefully makes the picks obvious…

Henry North - 8:00 – Giants vs Redskins

Shocking that Snyder is quiet this week. His team is probably favoured against the Redskins, you would think he would be trash-talking Noah, at least a little. May be he has learned not to rile-up his opponent after getting beat-down last week by the Packers. (probably not...)

Giorgio, Jordan, Alex, Mario and the rest of the young Giants should be able to get on track against the young Redskins team. Doesn`t look like it will rain on Saturday so Noah might have a chance, but I don`t think he has the weapons to keep up in this one.

PICK: GIANTS win easily…

Henry North - 9:30 – Packers vs Browns

Packers have been rolling along since their default against the Cowboys back about a month ago. Building momentum into the playoffs. Does it matter if they are 1st, probably not, but they won`t take this game lightly. That`s not the way the guys on this team are.

Also, they know they can`t take Dave Z lightly. Browns need a win to guarantee they are in the top-8, so they also have incentive here. Just don’t think they have the horses to keep up with the Pack.

PICK: PACKERS win handily…

Henry South - 9:30 – Ravens vs Steelers

Steelers are guaranteed to be in the bottom 2, and it`s too bad, because I really thought they might have enough talent to do well this year. Just hasn`t transferred itself to the field.

T.J. and the Ravens should be looking to get some momentum going into the playoffs. Hopefully they will get their QB out this week to start that. Ever since Ray-Ray got hurt, the board has been pretty quiet from the Ravens point-of-view. Where are you Ray, we miss you…

I think the Ravens D has the opportunity to post a shutout this week against the Steelers and the Steelers D is the tonic to get the Ravens O rolling…

PICK – RAVENS in a not so close one…

Henry North - 11:00 – 49ers vs Patriots

This should be the game of the week. Let’s go player by player on this one…

Chambers vs C.Hadden --- Chambers ahs had a really good season this year, not getting easily rattled and staying the course every game. Colin has had his ups and downs, throwing more picks than usual, but still leading his team to the top of the table. Based on history… Advantage: PATRIOTS
Heath vs M.Hadden --- Heath has been solid all year, playing good D and using his height and skills on O. Mike is what Mike is, no matter what anyone might post about him. He is still the best going in te WMFL… Advantage: PATRIOTS
J.Schleiffer vs DaSilva --- In past seasons, I understand that this wouldn’t have been any doubt and advantage to Dasilva. However, from what I have seen this year, Schleiff has been playing outstanding ball, while DaSilva, not so much… Advantage: 49ERS
Hendry vs Mathews --- Both players are solid and play important roles on their teams. As long as Matthews is healthy and able to play. Not sure I could pick one over the other, though… Advantage: EVEN
REST OF THE TEAM – Both teams have bench strength that rounds out their rosters well, not matter what Freddy might say. R.Hadden, Sabadin, Marshall and Oleksik have been good and Morris, McCaskie, El-Hajjeh and Young even better. Advantage: 49ERS

PICK: This should be a really solid game, but I think, in the end I have to go with the PATRIOTS by a FG

Henry North - 11:00 – Broncos vs Cowboys

Hmmm, can the Broncos win 3 in-a-row and get themselves into the top 8? Do they want to and have to play whoever comes 1st next week? If they are true competitors, they certainly do.

Will the Cowboys have anything to play for? If everything plays out as I have written it above, they wont, as they will be guaranteed no better or worse then 4th. They have the tie-breaker against the Giants who would be 5-4 and they don’t against the 49ers who would be 6-3. Does it matter? Don’t think so, as this team will bring it no matter what.

The Broncos have beat the Browns and Redskins. The Cowboys are are another level up, however.

PICK – Broncos keep it close, but COWBOYS pull it out, and the Browns thank them!!

That will leave the standings as:

1. Patriots 7-2
2. Packers 7-2
3. 49ers 6-3
4. Cowboys 6-3
5. Giants 5-4
6. Ravens 4-5
7. Redskins 4-5
8. Browns 3-6
9. Broncos 2-7
10. Steelers 1-8

although entertaining, you should really stick to hockey, you are 2-3 and the two you got you called close games and they were anything but.

Not official but from what i can tell..

Pats vs Ravens
Cowboys vs Browns
Packers vs Giants
49ers vs Redskins
Broncos vs Steelers

Three way tie for 2nd (cowboys, packers, 9ers) goes to points against.

Giants beat the browns heads up, so they get the 6th seed.

packers, cowboys and 49ers finished 6-3

pack beat 9ers lost to boys

boys lost to 9ers beat pack

9ers lost to pack beat boys

it goes to ppoints against

boys had the least, packers 2nd least, 49ers the most (barely)

so, it goes patriots, cowboys, pack, 49ers.

In week 5 Browns 31-30 Cowboys with the final play to Rick Nurse for the two pointer but he could not come up with. Watch Ricky to have a big game as I m sure he had not forgotten.
In week 7 Redskins 45-27 49ers
Week 8 Packers 36-12 Giants
