Just a quick reminder that this Saturday is the annual mid-season skills competition where we will determine who is the:

- best punter
- best field goal kicker
- most accurate QB
- fastest man

The competition is open to everyone and will be held between the first and second game. To accommodate, the second game won't start until 11:15. Winners of the competitions will get free admission to next season.

Hope to see you out.

Things have tightened up a lot as there is a bunch up at the top.

1.) Nick beat Noah and Spack. But Nick lost to Raf. Raf lost to Noah. All four of these teams are very good and have good QBs tossing the ball. At this point, its next ti impossible to differentiate. Spack plays Noah this weekend which should clear things up right? As of now, they are all tied at the top.

5.) Colin is the team that probably should be up there, but is not. They lost to Noah and Spack, so for now they are on the outside looking in.

6.) Buzz had a big win this past weekend. Finally looked like the team they are capable of looking like.

7.) Ryan has had a couple of shining moments, but as of now, I can't see them beating a top team. Although with Clarkins and Z running around, they will be tough to contain.

8.) TO so far is the most maddening team. I don't expect wins, but at least keep things close. I don't expect much offence, but this defense should be sound. TO has a history of putting things together for playoffs though. Last yeah, he finished last, and really should have been in the semis if it wasn't for a bad call. So we wait.

Raf is garbage, he's going to get blown out on Saturday by Pro Bowl Grey. What, there's two Raf's you say? Fine, they're both garbage. Hey, there's a reason they play on the Browns and not on the Pro Bowl team. My prediction for the game? Pro Bowl Grey 56, Raf gets 20 garbage time points. Mike throws 4 picks and young Raf gets so frustrated by tight coverage that he just stands on the sidelines and smokes half a pack.

Incidentally, my opinion of both Rafuse's will change dramatically come Sunday morning in the Oshawa league; in that league, they're great teammates, awesome players, and flat-out winners. If all goes to plan, they'll be champions as well.

But we're talking Saturday here. So you suck. SUCK IT! You're the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked.

See you Saturday.

I believe Tony (Roboleg) Scanga should be deemed ineligible for the FG competition this weekend due to his bionic leg... Agreed?

How many times did the JGun run an in from the left wide spot? I thought it was the same play on loop, and then I realized he ran it 10 times.

Posted By Posted By: Playoffs?!

"Playoffs?! Don't talk about... Playoffs?! Playoffs!?"

Yes, it's getting close to that time again. Playoffs are just around the corner and with more than half the season in the books and just 3 games left, it's time to start talking about "Playoffs?"!

8th seed - Vikings (1-6)

The Vikes will pick up a win this season but it will come to no avail. With points against being so large after the loss to PB Grey, it will be hard to climb up the standings in the event of a tie in the standings. T.O. will need another great playoff performance to carry this team through.

7th seed - Eagles (1-6)

Not even the likes of Z will be able to pull them out from the bottom. They will keep games close but the top teams have too many weapons that outmatch those of the eagles. The young guns will have to put the load on their shoulders to help run this team through the playoffs.

6th seed - PB Grey (1-6)

Another surprise team that will somehow find its way to the bottom. How does this happen? Same reason for the other two, the firepower of the veteran QB's will be too much. Even after the blowout win over the Vikings, it doesn't look like they will keep up... yet.

5th seed - Da Bears (3-4)

This team is capable of putting up huge numbers FAST. But why hasn't it been as often as in previous years? This assembly of a past championship team should be fighting for the top. And they will, but not until the playoffs roll around.

4th seed - Browns (5-2)

The top four teams will be a coin flip for top spot. The deciding factor will be games vs. each other. The browns got the short end of the stick however. Losing to both the Colts and Falcons will have them at the bottom of the top.

3rd seed - Falcons (5-2)

The same reason that the browns are ranked 4th is the reason why the Falcons are ranked third. They beat the Browns and with a full Spack Squad, the Colts will come out on top. Noah's surprise team is looking, well... surprisingly good.

2nd seed - Colts (6-1)

Yes, Spack finds his way near the top of the standings yet again. And why you might ask? Because he is good at finding the open man. Spack will win out and secure a top seed in his Round Robin pool, simple as that.

1st seed - PB White (6-1)

What?! Could it really be? Nick!? At the top? How? This is a surprise to me as much as anyone else. PB White is currently 3-1 and has already played the other top 3 teams. Nick has been missing half of his top 6 picks over the last couple weeks and is still managing to pull out wins. With the bottom 3 teams ahead of PB White on the schedule, and if Nick can maintain this level of play, expect them to win out and secure a first overall position in the standings. I mean, it's possible, but really?! Nick at the top?

Good luck and prove me wrong! Anyone can take a game in this league.

Playoffs?!

Frank the tank is being shown up by Giorgio, the tank is starting to get old and slow and is getting out shined by the younger legs. Will he show up for the playoffs and the last games of the season to show young blood how its done? Probably not...

Gotta crow while I can. 4-0 last week. 9-7 now for the season. Might actually be getting a handle on this league again. Last time I said that all went South quickly…

Skills competition this week. Who’s got the goods?? Don’t have to be a QB to try out the accuracy competition. Don’t have to be fast to run the fastest man race either, especially if you don’t want to win… Enjoy it everyone!!

How about this weeks picks… (note the later times for the late games due to the skill contests)

North 9:00 – Team 7 (Noah) vs Team 8 (Dave)

I will admit that I was terribly wrong with these two teams at the start of the season. Both have been very impressive. As is many previous years this will be a shootout between two of the leagues most experienced gunslingers. Matty Ryan versus Andrew Luck. Dave’s team bounced back in a big way last week, while Noah suffered his first defeat. I see the Colts pulling away in the second half of this one…

--Take Dave’s team

South 9:00 – Team 5 (Ryan) vs. Team 4 (Chris)

While everyone is watching the other game on the North field, these two teams will battle it out for the bottom of the standings. After what I have seen from the Vikings these last few weeks I am not sure I can ever pick them again. I don’t see Teddy Bridgewater coming over the hill with his white hat to save them. Ryan and his band of Clarkins will rule the day.

-- Take Ryan’s team

North 11:15 – Team 2 (Mike) vs. Team 6 (Buzz)

Buzz and the Grey team got fat last week on the Vikings, which seems to be the tonic for everyone in the league this year. Solves all your problems. Not sure it really proves how good you are or not… Overall I think Mike’s team has a little more talent and no matter what TJ wants you to think, if Mike has all his team they win.

-- Take Mike’s team

South 11:15 – Team 3 (Colin) vs. Team 1 (Nick)

Nick has assembled a very solid team that has meshed together well. Colin’s team has not seemed to be quite the same as in past years, even though they have played together many many times. In the end, Nick has his team rolling and I don’t think the Bears will be able to slow them down.

-- Take Nick’s team

Have fun everyone, and remember to leave it all out on the field.

BTW, miss you J-Gun!! No one like you had every come before and no-one like you will ever come again…

Alright bud. I'll have you know that Tank is the best in the league. No one is better. You on the other hand are not the best in the league. The only reason he is appearing shower is because he draws all the talent to his side for a team victory over his own numbers. I am... err... tank is the best.
