Registrations forms are out and we are less than 2 months away from another great year...

Who are the QBs?
Will Jelani do it again?
Will Franks curse continue?
Will Glenn introduce another son into the league?
Will Snyder crash yet another drone?

Let the trash talk begin...

Curse will end this year. No way Jelani gets Z 4 years in a row. I'll put my life savings on that. Not like I can't lose in the finals 3 years in a row. I dont even like the Buffalo Bills.

Glenn has how many kids? 12? They can become the first preset team in WMFL history.

O/u on Snyder crashing the drone set at 1.5 times this year. Give me the OVER

Best of luck to all. Except Jelani, Z, Kitch, Eskins, and Jay

Who is the eighth quarterback? Will it be Frank? Has he finally had enough of depending on quarterbacks to win and is just going to get it done himself? Maybe he should step up?

4 seasons
3 straight finals
2 championships (Back 2 Back)

After completing the greatest comeback in WMFL history (down 35-14 with 17 minutes to go) and following it up with another championship, what else is there to accomplish @QB in the WMFL?

A position change may be in order. That post corner comeback that the Drews run looks pretty cool, maybe I'll try my hand at that. I'd chase the point total from last year, but Russ scored a billion of them so I'll pass.

Who knows? Maybe Frank plays QB and drafts me. Unless he's still salty about the past two finals.

Looking forward to the draft and another season in the WMFL.

Draft night was full of intrigue, suspense, some unknown gambles, a few head scratchers, and overall good time. Here is a first take on how the QBs fared in the first step to their championships:

Dylan
Dylan got the first pick and after feigning some confusion about what to do, he did the expected and went with Z. He then decided to go with a team that gels over the BPA. He had a solid pick in Rob Wilson later in the draft that should compliment his top picks well.

Noah
Noah always surrounds himself with a good team and doesn't always pick textbook. This year he had a solid 1-2 punch in Tyler and Joe, who are hoping to bounce back after a disappointing rookie season. Word is Noah has had success with them in other leagues, so I trust Noah here. Getting Neeraj in the third round is a steal, so if his top 2 are what he expects, he has easily the best Big 3 in the league. Veterans like Ben Payne and Jomo will had experience and depth. His lower half is unknowns but Noah has proven he can win with anyone.

Matt
The runner up last year went with familiarity and friendship. After making some pre-draft promises, Matt choose a solid team. King in the third round can make this team scary. I think the success of this team will rely on his unknown picks in the mid rounds like Tyler and Rick. Brad Smart's return will be good for Matt as well. This team should contend.

Warbird
WMFL veteran that has thrown many times as backup and in pickup makes his QB debut with his own team. He will have his growing pains, but Tank will help things a lot. His next 3 new picks will define his season. Rumour has they looked like studs at the draft, but we all know that doesn't always pan out on the field. Great mid picks in Fowler and Higney and Dufty. New QB and unknown players will start Warbird with low expectations, but the upside is huge.

Spack
Spack's top 3 rivals Noah's with Jamie, TJ, and Mario. Jamie is new to WMFL but not new to football or Spack. And TJ is not TJ of old, but this may be TJ's best shot at a title since he stared at that 45 yard game winning field goal split the uprights a decade ago. Apparently he has cancelled his vacation to Aruba in anticipation of making a run this year. McKaskie is a steal late in the draft, especially as he doesn't have to throw. SPack will be there at the end.

Kyle
Kyle had a solid inaugural season at QB and maybe should have made the finals. He also has a pretty enviable Big 3 in Nick and the Samanski Bros. Having these 4 on defense will make this one of the best Ds in the league. Klassen the Assassin, steady Rodney, and Taylor should make this team very tough to beat. If Kyle continues to impress, they will contend, if he suffers a sophmore slump, maybe not.

Jelani
Seeing Jelani without Z is going to be weird. But it will be fun to watch him with a different crew. Lots of very solid guys on this team, but TOs days as a gamebreaker may be in the past. The Drews are a fantastic pick and the team will be fun for sure. Solid players like Kitching, Best, Nigel, and Murray rounds out a nice roster. Right now I can't see this team contending, but if the team gels, you never know. A 3 peat for Jelani will cement him as one of the better QBs in the league.

Glenn
Glenn is another new QB but not new to WMFL. He has fathered a good portion of the league and now leads a new team without another Clarkin. The schedulemakers did us all a favour and matched Glenn vs Kyle right away in week 1. Tim is an outstanding pick, although may be last year he is in the first round. Giorgio may be the true first round pick, and if properly motivated can be a gamechanger. Will Glenn be able to properly motivate him? Grae is new to WMFL but a steal in the 3rd round. HE could arguably be a first rounder. We all witnessed Daniel last year and he will only get better. Nice picks in Will and Rob Edwards who should be able to top their counterparts taken in the 5th and 6th rounds. This team has a chance, but Glenn's arm may be an issue. Time will tell.

As can be seen, every team is so far undefeated and can make a case to contend. The draft system does a great job with parity and it will be exciting to see how the season develops.

Thoughts?

Thank you to the previous poster for recognizing Snyder’s greatness. I was talking to a guy at work who told me Snyder was fishing off the coast of Australia and hooked a Great White. His buddies dared him to climb in its mouth to get the lure back, which he did but then the jack broke and he was stuck inside. So he shot its little brain, then slit his way out!! Incredible.

Do we bond over water bottles (as a quick google search informed me what BPA is)

Perhaps it means something else or is a bad chirp, which is on par for the league. Happy that we are getting no attention though!

Is TJ still relevant? This old man still has moves but is he ready to play second fiddle to a new player named Jamie?
Is Aruba still on his itinerary? Spack often has attendance problems during the round robin which often forces him to fall out of the top 4. Could be the same this year too.

2nd fiddle is my new jam, man! I’m playing with JJ on the Mustangs, who is just incredible ... it’s fun to watch him play. And when he draws *too* much attention, I do a little 1st down damage. I’m good with that. Give me your 2nd best defender or your weak ass double teams and I’ll just go ahead and dismantle it slowly and systematically (because I’m too slow to do it differently any more).

Jamie’s the new top dog? Get to barking, young boi. Can’t wait to watch you eat.

Aruba is booked as always, costing me 2 round robin games, but rumour is the wife wants me to move the trip. Seems unlikely, “but you’re telling me there’s a chance”.

Also ... y’all are forgetting Mario is gonna murder people this year. So there’s that.

Posted On Posted On: Aug 27th, 2019
Views Views: 2628
Week 1 Predictions:

Spack (silver) vs Dylan (yellow)

The Wily Veteran against the young gun Dylan. Spack has a deadly top 3 in Jamie, TJ and Mario(perfect trifecta of Speed, Hands and Size). Might have a few holes on D with the bottom of his draft. Dylan will see if he can reap the benefits of having the first overall pick in Dave Z and a formidable band of talented young guys in picks 2-5. A lot of these guys have been playing in Ajax, Oshawa and Toronto so I don't see that much rust in any of these guys but we'll see where the chemistry with their QB will be. Can the Thrill upset the vet???? Close but Spack pulls away at the end.

Silver 32 - 24 Yellow

Kyle (blue) vs. Glenn (white)

Battle of the Clarkins!!!! I've already been told that the loser has to walk home. Kyle might have the best 1,2,3 receiving core in the league with Nick being a top 2 receiver in the league Luc slipping into the second round and Remy in the third who was seen as second round talent heading into the draft. Expect alot of speed and explosiveness out of this offence. Snyder, Klassen and Tyler are also get addition to the team. Glenn has a great tandem in Tim and Giorgio, great hands and speed with those two. We'll how Giorgi performs/how much effort he'll put in when his team is down. Does Glenn have the arm-strength to make use of his speedy receivers? Silver by a 2-3 tds

Silver 34 - 16 White

Jelani (black) vs. Matt (red)

Week 1 Championship rematch!!!!! Does Jelani have the team this year to go deep and get the 3-peat? Does he need Z to win? With his new weapons in TO, Murg and Drew. He'll see if he's able to pull of the win with out having a true elite WR1. Matt drafted well and got a massive steal in the Draft by getting King in the 3rd round as he was an excellent red zone target for Nick last year. Bo is a great number 1 pick but questions arise with Joe James in the second round as he's never really ever put up second round play on O or D. I think Matt wins the revenge game.

Black 20 - 30 Red

Noah (purple) vs. Warbird (green)

I'm predicting this to be the blowout of the week (sorry warbird). Word on the street is that Frank has missing the last month of Oshawa and will miss week 1 also, big question marks with Newton in the second, has anyone seen him play??? Noah as per usual drafted very well and should have no problems winning easily this week.

Purple 40 - 12 Green

Good luck out there everyone!!!!!!

Ahhhhhhhhh This is the Herd!

Wherever you may be and however you may be listening, we are live in Los Angeles, I-Heart-radio, fox sports radio, and on FS1. The Herd is sponsored by Tommy John!
Joy Taylor is joining me on a Wednesday.

We got a lot in store today so Let’s start with some draft recap and preseason rankings. Gosh the teams look stout and ranking them will be hard.

Starting from the bottom (Now we here)

8th- Green
Sorry Green, there is just so many question marks with this team. We know Frank is great week in and week out but he will have to step it up on D to earn some W’s. Higney and Duffy are nice late picks for warbird. The middle of the line up concerns me, Newton, Carey, Hamed and fowler. Prove me wrong, use this as motivation boys. The biggest concern lies at QB. Smart play caller but will the arm hold up. Good thing for steamboats and the use of double moves and play combinations. I see this team struggling on O and thus putting the D in bad spots all year.

7th White
White is a big step up from green though (sorry green). White’s lineup can compete day in and day out. Wray, Giogioioioio, up and coming Daniel, Will, Edwards and Bret all provide this team with a nice splash of veterans with a winning pedigree as well as youth and speed. Defensivly this team looks stout with vets and young G and Daniel running around like crazy. Lets hope Hayes and Clarke can make a difference here. Glenn at QB has proven he can win and move the ball in a dink and dunk fashion with excellent effectiveness. Nothing wrong with that unless teams pick up on it. This ranking is not indicative of their talent, it’s just unfortunate there are so many other strong teams.

5B Black
Maybe ive lost my marbles putting the 3 time finalist and 2 time defending champ QB at 6th but the other teams are just so strong. Jelani will do well with T.O, Mug, and Walker and a nice dash of familiarity with kitch, Jay, and even House and Murray from year 1. They will certainly move the ball with ease with a plethora of hands on their team an big body targets and Jelani can design an O. I question their D and their ability to lock down top speed teams. Jules, Nigel and Quincy will make plays as well. I hope this team can prove me wrong but its just so gosh darn hard to pick without seeing some games first.

5A Red
Did Matt think they were playing Basketball and needed some height in his first 3 picks? All great athletes that will win jump balls for sure, with Bo, Jo and King. Staff and Brad are nice mid round steals. Mike is a solid vet as well. Tyler will have to adjust to the game, but some more nice vets in the late rounds with Clarkin, Stevens and Palmer. Its hard to think last years finalist QB is sitting at 5th, but I struggle to see how this team of giants will Gel (even with all the family connections) Who will play where on Defense as it seems like plenty of defensive specialists but less safetys. Matt will score, sure but there are simply stronger teams.

4 Blue
Wowzers this team has some speed up top. Luc, Remy are first rounds and almost went 1st overall for pete’s sake (see what I did there? Big Pete is on this team). What a steal getting Nick, luc and remy. This team will play scare some defenses as Kyle proved he can throw in big games last year. On defense it may be even scarier with Craig, Rodney, Taylor and Matt all locking it down not to mention Kyle plays some solid D. Big Pete and Philips fill out this lineup nicely. This team will beat some top teams for sure and I am excited to see what they can do. Any one of these top 4 teams can take the title!

3 Yellow
The top 6 players on this team maybe all still require babysitters, gosh dolly they are young! Dylan will have to deal with tons of athleticism on this team and young athletes with Z, Jordan, Bryce, Steve, Dustin. It’s a good thing they are young because we know Dylan has an arm and will have them running hard. JJ, Wilson and Migs are excellent late round picks to help this group of teeny boppers. Lets hope Parker and Jay bring a spark to this team. This team looks stout on D, if someone can call a solid defense as we know Dylan can jump in on D as well. Offense will be electric to watch with all the top end speed, and vets with solid hands with Dylan at the Helm. I don’t see any glaring weaknesses here other than proving they can win.

2 Purple
Wow Noah’s top 7 picks can all play. Joe and Tyler showed flashes of brilliance last year and I am sure are chomping at the bit to prove their status. Neeraj is an excellent late steal, and Ben, the Walkers and Jomo fill out the top half nicely. Not sure of the last 4 picks but Noah always likes a little gamble in him. Noah always does well on offense, and his top 3 guys will love playing with the pumpfake and solid accuracy of Noah. This team may be one of the highest scoring teams. The team will also play great defense aided but a good offense putting the other team deep in their own territory. I just wonder who is going to lead the Defense?

1 Silver
Spacks top 5 picks are incredible. Jamie, TJ, and Mario are all excellent on O and D. even as TJ becomes more of an offensive specialist. Jake and Jackson are nice sneaky mid round picks (even though Jackson was a block with Jamie). The bottom half are all guys spack knows and can play both sides of the ball with ease as spack leads the O and designs the D. Is this the year Spack breaks through in whitby? Time will tell!

Stay tuned for Week 1 picks!

Time for Colin’s Blazing four (Five picks in the NFL incase you are curious)

Silver vs Yellow (Silver -4.5)
A tough match up right out of the gate for yellow facing a top team and qb. A great test for this young team on defense. At QB the experience edge goes to spack and perhaps accuracy as well but rumour has it Dylan has been playing a lot of indoor successfully. Athletes edge goes to Dylan as he has the arm and the ability to play great D. Jamie vs Z is interesting as Jamie is somewhat of a defensive specialist and Z is more of an offensive guy. Give the edge to Jamie here since Spack knows Z’s weakness and Jamie plays with spack in other leagues. Jordan vs TJ, TJ is still elite, lets see if Jordan can prove me wrong. Bryce, Steve and Dustin have a nice matchup vs Mario, Jake and Jack here. Both trios are athleteic as hell and both can play both ways effectively, it’s a wash. JJ, Robert and Danny have the edge over Harrison, Tim and Clarkin here. The end of the lineups look even however miggy is very sure handed, I am interested to see the young McCaskie play. All that being said, I think the young guns need to work out the kinks before facing a top team, perhaps come playoff time things will be different. Silver covers the spread and wins by 10.
36-26 for Silver

Blue vs White (Blue -6.5)
Clarkin battle off the hop! The edge at QB goes to Kyle, however, I would be remise if I did not mention that Glenn wins the play calling edge. Nick and Luc vs Tim and Girogio (I think G was a 2nd rounder only because he was a block so it made more sense to take him in the 2 slot). Nick and Luc are a nice mix of offense and defense speciality. Nick’s speed cancels out Girogios. It comes down to Luc vs the willy vet in Tim. Both play crazy hard but the advantage goes to Luc. Remy and Craig vs Grae and Daniel. I know what Daniel can do and that he will only improve but the unknown in Grae leads me to give the advantage to the fastest man in whitby and Craigster. Rodney, Taylor, and Snyder match up nicely with Will, Robert and Chris so the advantage goes to Blue again here. Both bottom halfs have some nice vets and even out. Blue should be able to score at will and limit White’s offense and therefore I am picking Blue to cover the spread.
Blue wins 28-20

Black vs Red (Red -2.5)
A finals QB rematch in week 1! The QB battle is too close to call, both are excellent athletes and QBs with Jelani getting the best of Matt in the finals last year. Both are invaluable on Defense as well which bolster the back end of the D at safety. Bo has the edge of T.O. Reverse time some and T.O would have something to say about that. Joe and Mug are both very talented but a slight speed and hands edge to Mug here. King and drew is super close as well. Drew can play both ways effectively where King seems to focus more on O. Give me Drew here. Staff, Raf and Goldy take a back seat to Kitch, Jay and House all with recent finals experience. The back ends of both teams need to step up as the top halfs are very equal. I think Black pulls the upset in this one in a methodical yet close game.
Black wins 32-28

Purple vs Green (Purple -16.5)
Biggest spread of the day here as vegas is calling for a blowout. The QB edge has to go to Noah with the new warbird stepping in. Frank is a solid player yet I need to see more from Colin to give this top two the edge, Tyler and Joe take it here for purple. Carey is another unknown for me (My sources are dwindleing in my old age, I may look young but that’s the TV’s tricks, I am over 50). Neeraj is such a steal in the third and has my pick over Carey. The Ben’s Hanely and Aidan have a large advantage over Green’s Hamed, Fowler, Higney and Duffy. The end of the draft for purple is an unknown for me but I do know Billy is a star, advantage Green here ! Purple has the higher ranked players in almost all facets of the game here in my books. Purple may make this a big blow out and cover the spread. I feel generous giving green 20 points actually.
42-20 for Purple

There you have it! Bet the farm on these picks or parlay them for a big win!

Despite what this board seems to think I am not super man, I’m merely an exceptional human being. As are all of you, for playing WMFL football. That said, team Kyle is going undefeated this year so I guess I’m saying as a team we’re more exceptional than the rest of you. We have the two good Clarkin’s! Samanski’s! Big Pete! Two Rods! We’re like a lay-down euchre hand on both sides of the ball!!

as excited i am for this upcoming season, i suggest we push the league next year a week so that it doesn't start on the long weekend.

Attendance has never been an issue on the long weekend. And starting earlier to avoid the colder weather makes a lot of sense.

Attendance isnt an issue because people still value the games and this league over other priorities. But I'm missing 3 days at the cottage with friends and family on the last weekend of the summer because of this week's game. November 24 isn't that cold that's a weak rebuttal.

Not trying to stir the pot, just a future suggestion that I think would be welcomed by most in this league.

There are 11-12 players on each team for a reason. If you are lucky enough to own or have access to a cottage and also lucky enough to have friends to enjoy it with, no one will resent you for missing a game. It’s regular season!!

Definitely against pushing the league any further into the winter. I’m with Luc, sooner the better as far as start date goes.

The first games are just a couple days away! Let’s take a look at all the matchups and compare each team heading into week 1.

Game 1: Silver v Yellow
Spack > Dylan. Experience and knowledge over youth and athleticism
Jamie < Dave Z. Z is the best player right now.
TJ > Jordan. TJ is a first rounder if his attendance was better in playoffs.
Mario > Bryce. While Bryce had a great year, Mario has proven that he is a dominant player.
Jake = Steve. Jake is fast and athletic but rumor is that Steve can ball.
Jackson < Dustin. Unknown on Jackson and Dustin can make plays.
Harrison, Steven C, Tim < JJ, Rob, Danny. Rob is still a top player when healthy.
Folco, Patrick > DeSouza, Mark G. Youth over experience on this one.
The top of the lineup slightly favours Spack and so does his ability as a QB. The middle of team Yellow is where Dylan will have to dig into to make big plays happen. This is a good matchup but… Advantage Silver!
Silver 36-28

Game 2: Blue v White
Kyle > Glenn. Kyle played like an all-star last year and has proven to be a very good QB. Glenn’s arm and play calling may be suspect.
Nick > Tim. Nick is still a top WMFL player. Surprised he fell this far. Tim is tough but won’t be able to keep up.
Luc < Giorgio. Giorgio can score from anywhere on the field. Luc has great D but is better in a zone.
Remy = Grae. Remy has incredible offence but lacks on D. Grae is quick and good all around.
Snyder < Ahong. Snyder plays great D but Ahong had an incredible rookie year and will only get better.
Rodney = Will. Rodney finds ways to get open but Will plays with a passion.
Taylor, Klassen, Big Pete > Rob, Clarke, Brett. Taylor is a true leader and this trio is a strong offensive 3.
Lance, Rodney < Nick, Marc. Mark is a late steal and knows his way around the field.
Team blue is as stacked as they come. While the top 3 of white can keep up, Blue’s 3 have all shown they can lead individual stats. Both teams have good depth. Big Pete is a hard cover over the middle. The real difference here is the QB play. Kyle can throw well; can Glenn keep up? Advantage Blue!
Blue 44-14

Game 3: Black v Red (GOTW)
Jelani = Matt. Jelani has dominated as of late but will fall off without Z. Last years championship came on the back of his defence. Still, he has been to 3 straight finals, winning 2. Matt holds the head to head 2-1 and has a strong playset for his receivers. Both consistently put the ball on the money.
T.O. < Bo. My informants have gifted me knowledge of Bo’s play. He may be a top 3 player in the league if this is true. T.O. is still a force on offence and has hand of gold.
Megatron > Joe. Murgatroyd is one of the best jump ball players in the league and a tough cover. Joe has shown incredible improvement on offence while his D has slightly regressed.
Walker = King. King is willing to lay his body on the line to make plays on both sides of the ball. Walker is a better defender in the league.
Kitch > Staff. Kitch constantly performs above his draft level. Doesn’t play his age and always shows up clutch in the playoffs. Staff always plays hard and smart D.
Best < Mike. Best may be more athletic but is an offensive specialist. Mike plays smart on both sides of the ball and can help lead a team.
Alex, Nigel, Murray > Tyler, Brad, Bryan. Murry has shown spurts of star power when running routes in his comfort zone. Nigel is speculated to have had surgery in the offseason and only time will tell how he plays after recovery. Brad is a good defender but having had time off may have him fall off from previous years.
Junius, Quincy < Rick, Palmer, Jeune. Red’s 3 have championship experience and know how to win it all. Jelani will have to learn his picks strengths to help himself out.
This rematch has all the excitement that could be asked for in a week 1 game. These teams are even all the way down the board. Jelani will have to rely on his offence to score while Matt will be reliant on his D. I expect a low scoring affair and a tight game that comes down to the wire. No advantage!
Red 22-18

Game 4: Purple v Green
Noah > Warbird. Noah can score with anyone. Warbird has yet to prove anything.
Joseph < Tank. Tank has been a top 3 player for the last few years. Joseph will thrive in Noah’s offense.
Tyler > Colin. Tyler makes big plays on D but can get frustrated easily. Colin has tackle experience but that doesn’t always translate to touch.
Neeraj > Carey. Neeraj height, hands and smarts make him a steal. Another rookie in Carey leaves much to the imagination.
Payne > Waleed. Payne has always been a good player of both side of the ball. For a third time, a rookie with no background knowledge has me stumped.
Ben Walker < Fowler. Fowler flies under the radar every year as a great defender and sold receiver.
Jomo, Aiden, Tenzin < Higney, Dufty, Kalo. Green’s 3 are all great defenders and matchup well with Purple’s 3.
Soares, Jenkin, James < Billy, Doug. Experience is the difference here.
This game could have the makings of an upset if Green’s top players are as good as they are drafted. Tank is a great leader and could guide these rookies to be a scary foursome. Until then, this team has far too much to prove and too many question marks. Noah’s ability to lead a team constantly shows and they will put up far too many points for Green to keep up with. Advantage Purple!
Purple 40-8

This year is shaping up to be very unique with an array of new players and two new QB’s who have played in the league for years. Some teams look like they can run the league with little resistance while others will have to step up their game this year to keep up.

Best of luck to everyone out there this weekend!

‘Twas the night before week 1, when all through the league,
Not a creature was stirring, except for Dave Z;
The cleats were all washed and cleaned with good care,
In hopes that winning was soon to be theirs;
The players were nestled all snug in their beds;
While visions of touchdown dances crept in their heads;
And Snyder in his jersey, and I in my tights,
Are just warming up, for a long-seasoned fight,
When out in the field there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like Remy,
Tore open the shutters to see what might be.
The skies were open and no rain was near,
The field was green and so many beers!
When what to my wandering eyes did I notice,
Only 5 Clarkins this year, it was bogus!
The best QB so fast and so quick,
I knew in a moment it had to be Glenn.
The fastest players the coursers they came,
I can even give you all of their names:
Giorgio, Luc, Remy and Frank!
Nick, Dave and JJ (fastest man in Whitby) are also high rank!
To the back of the endzone! To the post corner post,
Noah’s pump fakes are better than most;
The real true Santa his beard is so great,
Doug McKeon is a man you can’t hate;
I cannot wait and I cannot sleep,
For in a few hours I’ll be giddy with glee;
With the flip of a coin and a kick of the ball,
Soon the season will begin for us all;
But hear me exclaim as I head out of sight,
“Merry football-eve to all, and to all a good night!’

Wow. Scores immediately posted to website and stats. Very impressed.

What we learned week one

Dylan can sling, if not for a dropped pass he could of won that game. His team looks solid with him at the helm.

Spack looks his usual fine tuned self. I’ve heard that if TJ doesn’t start running the right routes Spack is going to buy TJ a ticket to Aruba himself. This team will be a contender all year.

Kyle had a rough start, but with the talent on this team it’s tough not to see him and the crew make a ship run. I simply put this poor performance on him wanting to beat his dad by too many points, way to many deep balls. Kyle is a good quarterback.

Glen probably outperformed most people’s predictions of what was supposed to be a blow out. With some crafty play calling he was able to put his team in a spot to win this game, but unfortunately a game winning field goal was missed. Is this performance so good because he wanted to beat his son by so many points? Ahhh who knows, but this team could surprise a lot of people in the playoffs.

Noah is gonna be in the running for a ship. He’s got a lot of talent and he knows how to use them to put them in great scoring situations. This team has a chance to go undefeated.

Warbird had a tough first matchup for his WMFL debut. He has a lot of talent on this team, if he can craft up some plays and take care of ball maybe he can make a run in the playoffs. Just take it week by week, quarterbacking is tough.

Matt has a solid squad, his full team showed up (sometimes that is not good) and they beat Jelanis team after getting off to a slow start. Matt looks like he is throwing the ball better then last year, he just keeps getting better and will probably have chance at another ship. This team has a lot of studs.

Jelani had a great start, then the second half began...

...he is the back to back champ for a reason. It’s just one game and everyone makes the playoffs. This team has too many guys that know football not to be good all year round. Jelani is a good quarterback and will make this team go by playoff time.

Cheers

For this game I request the league add a mandatory eighth defender to make the scores look realistic.
