Red (Jesus) vs Royal (Drew) I almost picked this came exactly even with the score, nice! Red got back to form with the return of their lord and savior, Jesus. Royal came back down to earth after a win the week prior. Red proved Jesus is needed to help both sides of the ball as their defense looked a lot better with him in the mix and also their offense wasn’t giving the defense a short field. Bryce and Rocca are balling out this year. I still have some concerns with team red as they have had an easier schedule up until this point having yet to play pink or grey, and we didn’t really see them play blue properly. I have faith in Red but one must remember they haven’t been tested too much. Even their win over white was against a depleted team. As for royal, they were unable to capitalize on their size mismatch in this matchup. They should be proud of only allowing 30 points though to a team that scores in bundles. Royal has hope though, as they play the winless team white next week on thanksgiving, thanksgiving and nationals always cause lots of absneses and even worse for a team white who only show up sometimes. Grey (Jelani) vs Pink (Kyle) I got this game right also, whoop whoop! I thought it would be a little close but whatever. It is difficult to get a read on team grey as they look excellent some weeks, and very mediocre other weeks. Their defense actually plays well most weeks, but the offense having drops or throwing ints puts the D in bad field position too often vs top clubs and even vs weaker ones like yellow. This team has some work to do to get back into a contending position, I had them ranked 2nd in the preseason rankings but right now I am not so sure. Yes, the regular season stats mean nothing, but learning how to win and forming chemistry is something that has to happen before the playoffs. As for team pink, another excellent performance and this team may be rolling now. Every week they score a ton now and they should be feeling confident on offense as my preseason top ranked team. They should be feeling good about themselves but I still worry about their defense a bit which statistically looks good but I feel as though this is a result of their offense being so strong with time of possession and good field position. Excellent test against red next week! White (Spack) vs Black (Jack) I picked black to win so I could call myself correct, however, I thought it would be a closer game so ill be fair and say this is incorrect. Team black has very much over performed their preseason ranking and are looking very impressive on both sides of the ball. Jack is throwing well and using all of his receivers and certainly doesn’t look like a rookie. The defense, lead by the great Snyder, is very stout as well. They can look forward to a weaker team next week vs yellow before their final game in a big test vs blue. Team white, I don’t even know what to say. Apparently you could only field 7 guys as synder said, with warbird and doug forced to play the whole game. I had this team ranked 3rd in the preseason and they have looked abysmal this season, plagued by injuries or absences, they still struggle to score and cant stop anyone. -152 point differential? Common man! Their only solace is they have yet to play 2 other weaker teams with royal and yellow up next on the docket. Yellow (Glenn) vs Blue (Noah) Wow almost got this game perfect with the score also! Maybe I know what I am talking about after all??? Not much to really say about this game. One team is severely outclassed and another team is a machine rolling into the playoffs, you decide which is which. Blue continued their dominance on both sides of the ball led by Noah’s excellent offense prowess and Jamie’s utter dominance on defense. Jamie dominants on O also btw. This team looks excellent and I see no chinks in their armor, everyone from Jack to Tony are rockstars. As for yellow, Glenn makes some great throws, Frank plays well as usual but they are just simply outmatched on this day. I have faith they will not finish the season winless, they still play young jack, even though jack is excellent, anything can happen on thanksgiving weekend with nationals. They also get to play the hapless team white. Mid season skills I did pretty well here I think! Nailed it by calling FG to the dominant Jamie. Nailed the fastest man with Remy 1st and G second. Congrats to Jordan and will for winning the qb and punt comps. My picks for this week will come out tomorrow or the next day. Its always a crap shoot on thanksgiving weekend with people away for various reasons. Not to mention nationals is the same weekend. Good thing they are regular season games which matter o so much. I was 3 for 4 on the picks again (even though I picked all the winnners) , and 11 for 20 on the season, ouch. Power rankings after 5 weeks. Zero movement as the top 4 all won and the bottom 4 all lost 1) Blue- Undisputed top dogs still 2) Pink- rolling now. Would love to see them vs Blue again 3) Black- Still in the third spot, cant move them after a big win 4) Red- nipping at the heels of team black now after jesus rises again 5) Grey- Still an excellent roster but struggling on O 6) Royal- maybe they can move up with a win vs white next week 7) Yellow- hard to play the top team, but still look better than white 8) White- injuries and attendance issues, 2 games left vs bottom 4 teams.

Yellow (Glenn) vs Black (Jack) At the start of the year this would have been a close matchup of two weaker teams, but team black has proven to be a strong team. I would have said glenn has the advantage at the start of the year but now I have to go with Jack after putting up solid offensive numbers and he doesn’t even lock in on one target like nick. I would have loved to compare nick and frank as this is a good matchup of an offensive specialist vs a defensive specialist but I believe Frank is away. Nick and king vs either tim or ben is a mismatch for team blacks advantage. Tim and ben do play great but Nick is dominant. I think TJ may be at a tourney but I am unsure, so give me TJ on team black over Harrison. Synder and Noah also can outduel duffy and pinto. The later picks have a big edge to team black with criag wyatt and pete all being staples for team black this year. The clarkins and smart and billy are all excellent dudes but will struggle with team blacks late picks. This really looks like a big mismatch for team black in this game. I think yellow could come out strong having little hope without their vocal leader and thus play loose and without pressure. Black may play down to the level of yellow but they have too many veterans to let that happen I think. Yellow will struggle on offense again without frank, and this means the later picks will be covered by blacks top players which shuts them down even more than usual. Black might even play man and have 1 free safety since they matchup so well. Hard to play man in this league though with steamboats. Blacks offense on the other hand should keep on humming along, I think they only need to worry about tim, ben, duffy and Harrison but with it being thanksgiving who knows who will show up. Black will score at will. Blowout potential, too bad frank wont be here to get blown out again and complain about it. Black wins 48-12 Spackman (white) vs Drew (Royal) Preseaon I would have thought this is a mismatch in favor of white, now it may be in favor of blue. Matching up the QB’s, I have to go with spack, even with Drew’s surprising success this year I have to go with Spack’s experience and winning pedigree. Tyler is finally coming into his own after a rough week one, playing both sides of the ball very well. Ill call it even with Z until I see something different for now. I am not sure if Mario will be playing or healthy so I have to go with Murg here for team Royal, it would be very close if healthy. I will take Geoff over jake for team white as Geoff has developed into a great 2 way player. I haven’t seen Wilson much this year but if he shows up I would take him over Will. For now I have to go with the reigning qb accuracy man in WILL! JJ is amazing always, quincy has his hands full. I will take Alex for team white over Ben. The late picks are very even with gladiators in warbird, jay, doug and james for white but royal counters with the wonderful timmy, scotty and company. The rosters seem to favor team white here but I just don’t know who will show up and in what shape. It is hard to smash team white for being awful this year when they have actually outscored team Royal. However, team white has given up way way more points. White has the better O, when healthy, Royal the better D. In this game I think white will struggle to score again until they are healthy. I do think Royal should score some and get their offensive confidence as their D should give them a short field. This game will be close I think and it will be interesting to see which QB can capitalize and which team is in shape to finish the game. White is not in shape. Royal wins a close game 24-18 Jelani (Grey) vs Noah (Blue) I think this game will be full of absences for nationals and perhaps thanksgiving travels and these teams will need to matchup again in the playoffs to get a true gage of the talents. I believe Jelani plays nationals so I have to go with Noah for the advantage here for Blue which is a huge impact. Even bigger perhaps is Jamie will be away also and Jamie is their heart and soul on both sides of the ball. Luc may be away also but I am unsure so ill say he is here. Luc matched up with Jason is a huge advantage for grey. Grae and Jack is very close, Jack is playing very well this year, call this even for now, I think Jack wont be picked this late again. Remy and Derek or Jomo isn’t even fair, fastest man and getting better at football every week will take this for grey. Ryan and Rion will take Jomo, Justin and Jesse easily, even with the ryan and rion suffering from the drops. Rion may even take a shot at throwing. The late picks are even since Blue has peter and tony playing well and grey has a number of guys to pitch in with Jerry, Dante and Rodney. Maybe David or Miller can step up and change this! These rosters look like a huge advnatge for grey, but missing their QB can really be a huge impact and advantage to blue. Blue should be able to score better than grey, even though blue is missing Jamie, noah will march. Grey should be able to get some stops though without their focus on Jamie and can use their athletes all over the place. I worry about grey scoring though, blue should be able to play average D without Jamie and that should be enough without Grey having a qb. Too bad about absences for this one. Blue wins a very close one as the QB is so important, even missing MVP Jamie. Blue wins 30- 22 Red (Joe) vs Pink (Kyle) Game of the week! I feel like these teams shouldn’t be hit by the thanksgiving bug or the nationals bug. Lets go! Jesus vs Kyle would be a huge mismatch at the start of the season for kyle, but jesus’s stellar play makes this much closer, I have to go with the champ for now though in kyle. Roccasalva vs G is the most fun matchup we can see! Both are crazy elusive and fun in the open field. I have to go with G though for route running and hands and ability to play D, and his speed, G wins for team pink in this matchup! TO vs Neeraj, excellent matchup here of excellent people and players, TO is looking younger this year but Neeraj is being used perfectly for pink so give me Neeraj for pink. Jordan has looked very good for team pink this year but Bryce is playing unreal and way above his draft status, give me Bryce for red. Mark and steve, the battle of buddies, ill let the field decide this one. Edwards and Jay are both excellent mid rounders I would love on my team if I played in this league, slight edge to Robbie and team red here. Rodney and Danny are both playing well this year but Danny’s defensive ability is amazing for red so give me red. Pink has the better late picks with waleed jules and nicky. Sorry if I didn’t mention anyone elses name, I just don’t know who is showing up this weekend. Well I think this should be a great test for red. Pink has been tested a bunch already. Red has one of the best D playing one of the Best O in Pink. I have to give the edge to the offense in this case as Pink is simply rolling and the steamboats make it very hard to stop anyone on O let alone a juggernaut like kyle and G and Neeraj and pink. Red will make some stops though to keep this interesting. On the other side of the ball red should be able to score as well as pink has shown some chinks in their armor, I just don’t think they can score at the same pace. Pink wins the first test for red with their QB here. Pink wins 36- 24 Power rankings after 5 weeks. I hope frank is there, so no one can say the zero-egg they lay is because they didn’t have their top guy. Besides, everyone knows Billy is the best Katra-whatever-eyedis. One of only three guys we worry about on this shit-ass team. Tim who? Who the f is that? Ben I worry about, but mostly cause his good looks are going to distract Wyatt. Glenn is lucky he has his eldest son Bryan on the team to bail him out as he shot-puts lame ducks in the general vicinity of one of his other sons, Nick; who, as luck has it for team black, hates his father and has been plotting football patricide for the past 16.5 years. Don’t throw that way Glenn, it won’t go well as Nick fulfills his destiny crushing you at football, throwing Steven down on the hard concrete, and taking his rightful place atop the Clarkin empire. Will he marry his sister as the Clarkin’s of old did when they ruled Egypt (hint: Clarkin is the anglicized version of Ptolemy)? That would be weird, so I doubt it, probably Nick will Segway his WMFL championship this season (back to back if you aren’t paying attention) into an AndOne football line endorsement deal and marry a tiktok model. Anyway, I regress. The point is yellow is done like a beautiful thanksgiving dinner shared and enjoyed with friends, family, and football.
