We had more camaraderie than our team has experienced all season. It’s a shame more guys couldn’t have been there because it felt great with lots of laughter on both sides of the ball. Especially when Murg hauled in a one-handed grab on a post route, then high-stepped into the end zone while staring down the sideline. But technically we won because before Will lined up for the final play field goal, Trevor proclaimed that the kick would decide the game. And Will nailed it.
Sadly I think I’m out next week. I just can’t play in a bowl game against Frank’s team when he’s not suiting up. It just wouldn’t be fair. |

At the end of the day, that’s what I love about this league, and I always respect a guy offering an authentic apology.
Obviously we didn’t get Red’s best game today; we both know you guys are better than that. But my goodness, Pat McCaskie absolutely *snapped* that game on the pass rush. You love it when guys who are maybe picked a little lower in the draft make splash plays, and especially when they do it in bunches in a semi-final! Nice work out there, baby! Grey — Black has avenged its losses against Carolina Blue and Red — we’re glad you survived a Pink scare so we can settle the score in the rubber match |

Great game today. Lots of fun for both teams. At one point I looked around and the entire field was ear to ear smiles. Sure we have Will’s fantastic athleticism to thank for much of that, but that’s what the league is all about. Congrats Black and Grey for making it to “the show”. Great battle and well deserved victory. Luc is a beast and made some exceptional catches. Jelani was great as usual. Thanks to John, Brad and Noah for reffing a great but heartbreaking game. To my Team Pink, thanks for an awesome and enjoyable season. Kyle is awesome and a great QB. Giorgio is one of my favorites and a beast all year. Who knew that Jelani, the Samanskis, and the rest of grey were held in such low regard!? Shocking to me! I’ve always thought that Jelani was a good qb, and have even lobbied to have him draft me in the past. I had no idea so many felt he is overrated and a liability to his team! And the Samanski’s! I love those brothers and have played with them many times. I was truly shocked to learn that people say they are not fast, have poor skills, and are ugly. I was most surprised to learn that there is a petition circulating amongst active players asking the league to not allow Rion and Ryan to play next year. I could not believe it! They seem like such great guys but apparently most people say they have sub-colonel football skills (seems mean, colonel is like 100, Ofcourse his football skills have diminished, that’s why he doesn’t play anymore!!!) and they are bad people. Bad people, what does that even mean? On a positive note, everyone loves Rodney but they seem really sad for him that he got stuck on this team. The feeling seems to be that people feel it’s unfair he got stuck with this team basically guaranteeing he won’t win his fifth straight WMFL title. |

Well here it is! Where legends are made. People can forget whole regular seasons but everyone remembers the finals. Grey vs Black Interesting that there could be a little bit of a colour issue for the QBs to see their wide outs. 3rd matchup here. Black won handily in the regular season, grey has stepped up come playoff time and won that second matchup close. QB matchup- Jack has been steady eddy all year and I have yet to give him credit it seems. He is a warrior, excellent for the league to have great QB play. Jack will find ways to score and the moment shouldn’t be too big for him, however, I have to lean Jelani here. Been to the finals a ton. He is hungry. Plays excellent D also. He has great chemistry with the semanskis from previous years and other leagues. I have to go Jelani here and that’s no slight to Jack Black from school of rock. Grey on O and Black on D- Grey hasn’t been an offensive juggernaut this year but they find ways to get it done. Some drops here and there and miscues to stall some drives have really hurt them since they have a ton of speed and a great play caller. On the other side of the ball though black has been known to get themselves into some pretty high scoring affairs other than last week stopping jesus. This will be interesting with both units not being their strengths. Grey will make things difficult as they do not have one player to key on and shut down, they can all make plays and are dangerous, from luc, to remy to grae to the ryans, that makes it tough on black to stop. Black doesn’t matchup well in man to man I don’t think with all of grey’s speed so they will have to play a mix of different zones and disguise it well. Nick can cover anyone sure, and Synder of course, but king, noah, tj, staff, Criag, wyatt all will have trouble with grey’s speed and will be more suited to zone I believe. I think grey wins this matchup slightly and will score some on black, but nerves may get to them early so ill say this ends up being a high 20s score maybe 30. Black on O Grey on D- Strength vs Strength here! This is where the game is won. Black seems to score on anyone, and Grey had some struggles in the regular season on D with a hit or miss offensive putting their D in bad spots, but grey has turned it on lately. Nick Clarkin is a nightmare to stop, cant be convered and his slick in the open field also. He will draw the lions share of the attention from someone, whether its luc or remy or Jelani or a ryan helping with a double team. The size of King always causes problems and TJ is still elite so you cant forget about them. Noah also has come alive this season and seems to be forgotten at times. Then there is the X factor with Pete being uncoverable in those short yardage situations. I think Black will be able to score here. This will be a very close game. Something wild and funky is going to happen at the end with all the nerves and pressure on and I think Black has a ton of vets that can score here. Fox sports One should be televising this game. It should be excellent. All of my analysis means nothing, anything can happen. Its just fun reading material. I am going with my gut. Clarkin forever and Synder and TJ make the message board super fun. However, I am suspecting that grey is responsible for the fun memes. Everyone is awesome (like the lego movie song) but team black is awesomer! Black wins 36-28 in a 1 score game. Make that 3 trophies for Nick Clarkin this year! Maybe this post will motivate team grey? Nah, no one cares what I say. Good luck gentleman! |

Why aren't they playing only half the game if you want parity? Same thing with both Whitters against us. They played every snap. Why were they never on the bench for the sake of sportsmanship of the league? Our 2nd round pick plays practically no offense for us. Our 3rd round pick plays less than half the game on D, our 4th round pick doesn't even play D and our 5th round pick plays half the time on offense. We are absolutely playing people fairly.
The jealousy coming out now that you've lost to Grey is weird behaviour. Just admit your team isn't as good and go on with your life. |

I don’t think people including myself are suggesting that the top 3 guys on the team sit. I think it’s more that you should be also including your lower ranked guys. I have no problem with other teams playing their higher picks all game, my issue comes in when I see the bottom 4 guys hardly play. I have been one of those guys that hardly saw the field in playoffs and it’s not a good feeling. |

Next, one thing that I would like to make clear is that I haven't been posting on the board at all. Although when I do post I use my real name :) I let my football do the talking on the field. It's a shame you're allowed to use Alias' ... except personally think 95% of the posts on here are Snyder under different names ;) Regarding my Pink team, what an amazing season with a bunch of great guys from the top down! Had a blast! Lastly, I'd like to thank everyone who made this season possible dealing with all the different pandemic rules, felt like we didn't skip a beat! P.S I still think we shoulda kicked that ball. |

I heard that the league told them they had to sit the second half because they hadn’t paid all their league fees. Makes sense that if you only paid half of the rest of the team to play that you’d only play a little bit of the game. Mystery solved and now everyone can stop getting on grey for manipulating their roster, breaching the spirit of the league ethos that makes this league special, and get on with better trash talk where Snyder and Luc fight through memes and aliases. |

I actually referred Jelani to that sports psychologist earlier this season, after he was off to a bad start To the WMFL season and ultimately sauced team Black 6 interceptions in a single game. He thanked me, said it really helped him to turn things around. I said to feel free to pass it along to his teammates. And obviously you can tell that he’s tried to pass it off to his teammates, because here it is back in Team Black’s hands. |
