EXEC, Do some work and repost this in the next chat for the next week. Make this league great again! Im posting here. You repost or someone else do it for them under my name, lord knows the league likes to write comments as someone else . I am posting this a week early because I don’t care about the thanksgiving games. Mercia has thanksgiving at the correct time, in November. Silly Canadians. I imagine people wont even show up this week because they are busy stuffing themselves with Canadian Bacon or whatever else you eat, probably some Canadian Dry Ginger all as a drink? Moslon Candian beer? Yuck. It looks like another wonderful season (PRESEASON) in Whitby in my absence, However, perhaps there has been a power outage? Did everyone turn Amish? Internet prices too high? The message boards are dead! Perhaps it will pull a Demar Hamlin and come back to life with a proper write up. Common exec, someone step up 😉. Almost as bad as your silly colour choices. 2 blues? 2 darks with charcoal and black? Common man, cant tell whos who out there!! True red? Kelly green. Looks like a great season with roster parity and excellent QBs other than Kyle and Joe. You guys are smelly. So far in the 7 game all important preseason, Spack and Raf are doing well, both feeding their first rounders as they sit 1 and 2 in the points race. A second whitter is creeping up the ranks as well. White has a much better plus minus with a strong D. I know Jamie likes the D as he is tied with Bryce for picks. White also has a new Sack leader. True Red? Is there a false red? Common exec? Jesus actually wins games this year? A nice turn around from last years debacle. His roster looks pretty average so perhaps he got lucky with the schedule and people away at tournaments or something? Who cares, its all preseason. Jesus is spreading the ball around with only 1 in the top of scoring. And their D gets lots of INTS. Team black somehow is doing well. Their roster has an age closer to my age, 59. You should find these guys on the pickeball court not playing football. But somehow these prehistoric dinos are winning, must be the great Noah since their O is 3rd in scoring but their D is not ideal with so much age on the team. Purple, Kyle you have that stacked roster and you are under 500? Common man! G money winning all those skills competitions better not be the only glory your team gets. It is preseason after all but show some life please. This is why I am not watching or doing write ups. People like YOU Kyle. And Nick, careful on the turkey this weekend big boi, losing a step. Kelly Green? Silliness! Only the great Colin can come up with names. More like Kelly Pickler Green ( look her up) This team is just a bunch of nice guys who want to have fun, will, craig, Snyder face, Danny Sack master Parker, Bryce, Pete, Clarkin. A bunch of nice guys. And Frank? Something isn’t like the others, Kind of like one direction and Zayn. Jelani knows whats up. Preseason doesn’t matter. His roster and prowess will come alive when the real games start. Stacked roster, and he wants revenge on last years finals loss. Don’t sleep on this team. They are better than red and green for sure. Ricardo is new but not new to football. This team needs to get their act together. Not sure they have the roster to do so. We will see. This weeks picks! (Not thanksgiving picks. This is Oct 14th picks, last preseason game before the big dance) 9am North Matt vs Jack C Blue vs K Green Seems like a one sided mathup here. Blue should roll on the nice guys in green unless Frank comes back from injury and uses his anger to turn into Hulk Green not Kelly. QB matchup, Jack is good, Matt is better and a champion. Take Matt. Frank vs Joe, Frank is injured I think? Otherwise this would be closer but Joe is elite. Take Joe on blue. Jake and will, both are decent. Even. Jordan and Bryce, Bryce is way better and I hear Jordy doesn’t even show up. Advantage to Green. Danny and Jai, Jai is cool but Danny is the Sack master and a great center in highschool I hear, another ad to green. Mike Raf and Synder, gotta go synder here. His house is too awesome, ad to green. Connor is showing promise but pails in comparison to the past president Craig, ad to green. The last picks are close, but you have to like Glenn and P money, Green only counters with Big pete. The rosters look close but top end talent and QB work goes to Blue. Blue should score even though Green has vets on D. Blue wins 40-22 9am South Ricardo (Coal Grey) vs Noah (Black) Coal? Naught for Santa? Nice how both colours will look the same. I am not sure who is more old and washed up, Noah’s whole team? Or Z? This has the lookings to be a blowout if old man Noah can see Black from Dark grey. Noah has the QB edge here even though Ricardo is no slouch. Wyatt vs King, I actually lean Wyatt for Coal here, both similar players but wyatt is more spry. T.O vs Murg, beauty matchup. T.O is ageless (which is something for his team) and Murg is murg. Tie. Neeraj vs drew, Ofense for Neeaj and Defence for drew. I feel like Neeraj is more dominant so the edge is to black. Jomo vs Riley. I haven’t seen the newer Riley yet. Call this a tie. TJ and Harrison. Is TJ still injured? Even so, hes a stud, TJ over everyone at this late in the draft. Robbie vs Z, sounds like a rob zombie concert, Robbie for sure. Z quit and is too drunk to walk im sure. The back end of the draft I like Bret Seabiscuit but Coal has some strong names also with Jules and Dante etc. Noah and team black roll, even though they are old. Noah finds a way to make it work. Coal needs more preseason to get ready for the big show. Black 48-18. 1045 south Jelani (Royal Blue) vs Kyle (Purple) - You know what. Why don’t we just make every jersey similar in colour and just play with funky hats or socks. Or shirts and skins. See who wins late November then! Jelani doesn’t play hard in preseason, Kyle doesn’t play hard ever. This is a snooze fest with such talented teams due to QB apathy. Hence why Colin cowherd and Fox FS1 doesn’t watch. Cant waste your athletes like this guys. Kyle and Jelani. Who cares? Who will actually care? They don’t. I don’t. tie. Nick vs Ryan Forde. Forde could ball out, so could Nick. Nick is coming off a massive thanksgiving dinner a week later so give me Forde, ad to one of the many team blues. Tyler vs G money. How can anyone pick against Mr. Clone!?? Love the insta post as much as the Stache. Girogio for team violet. Ginacarlo Stanton vs Nick Mickos. Give me the Yankee for Blue. Alex Lindasy vs Salmers, Lindsay has a tigher shirt so go with Purple on that. Jay best vs Roberts, Jay is the best. Nough said, Purp. Duffy vs Eskins. Eskins will hurt a hammy. Duffy for Purp. Back end of the draft is a landslide for Purp, Dyl the thrill and J Gun take the cake, sorry Steven Clarkin. Purple has the better roster. On both sides of the ball. But who rests starters in the last presesason game? This message better fire up team indigo. Purple wins 28-22 in a sloppy game. 1045 North (NORTH POLE Game) Joe (True Red) vs Spack (White) Blow out written all over it. Jesus doesn’t like the spirit of Christmas anymore in this north pole game. Spack and Santa crush them. Joe is way over matched. He actually stole a winter hat from me. Spack is back on track and takes the championship. Jamie is better than anyone in the league and we should fear his spawn is coming soon, Jack is better, the return of wes coke makes them better. Timmy and Warbird. White wins in a blowout. Mike Marci likes Jesus and is appalled at this result for true red. Kitch loves spack so he is happy with the result and rolls over to let spack win. Tony has no ill wishes towards spack ever also and he lets spack win. Quincy Q money also loves playing with spack. This is a fun game I may actually show up to watch. Spack in a landslide. 66-10 for White. No power rankings. I am too old and don’t care. Entertain me! Championship: Spack over Raf. Most disappointing: Purple Toilet bowl. Kelly Green loses to coal. It seems that in the absence of agitators people simply don’t know what to write, and they are uncertain how they should participate. Alas - Colin Crowherd has returned and graced us with his penmanship. It’s a good thing that his bread and butter is podcasting, because his written work is questionable at best. I must say that I was quite wrong in my preseason predictions. I had the league almost entirely flipped. But that is why we play the games! Red vs White. Joe vs. Spack. As we head into the last week of the season we have many notable stories and developments. My sources tell me that team red has launched an official inquiry into defensive stats. They have produced score cards, first hand recounts, and what they call VAR evidence, yet they simply submitted a photo of Will’s face along with a claim that their guy is tied with Jamie for picks. Not wanting to be outdone, and wishing to protect Jamie’s interception lead, team white countered with accusations akin to the Spygate scandal, and rumours that the league photographer is having relations with a member from team red. How else would they obtain such imagery? The photographer has been seen taking photos from all angles leading to questions about playbooks being captured, and even some illicit images on Frank’s phone while he was supposedly acting as a referee. Perhaps it’s blackmail at play that’s helping them win games? Colin speaks of such ill-will between these rosters, but I simply don’t see it. They have been communicating amicably on the sidelines for weeks now, so these allegations may just be a smokescreen. It seems ludicrous that such a write up would focus on such trivial nuances, but I would be remiss if I didn’t include the backstory as this game has the very strong potential to crown the champions of the table in the 2023 Whitby Men’s Touch Football League. A win for team White and they finish first. Jamie could win both interceptions and scoring titles, but Jack could also win the scoring title instead. A win for Joe, and a few other favourable results, and red wins the table. Kitch may even steal a title from Jamie in the process. If so, will he ask Spack to sign the ball that seals it? With the far superior rankings in points against, a four-way tie for league winners goes to Red. Take white. Blue vs Green. Matt vs. Jack Matt wants to get his boy Joe R the scoring title, and that should be a fairly simple endeavour considering green’s porous D. Bryce is also coming into this game looking to steal a title here as an outside contender in both scoring and interceptions. Blue took a licking this weekend playing a man down and without their quarterback Matt. They will right the ship heading into the playoffs and cruise to victory. With by far the highest points against, a four-way tie at the top of the table lands them in second, third or fourth pending results from the aforementioned game of the week. Take carolina blue. Purple vs Royal Blue. Kyle vs. Jelani. Will this be the week that Jelani starts his title march? His team took a serious beating against red, but both he and his top player were absent. I certainly had much higher hopes for purple entering the season, but they simply have not been able to produce as expected. Perhaps Giorgio will show up with his other two identical triplets who helped with the skills competition. This game is a coin flip, and likely does not matter one bit for Jelani due to tiebreakers. Win or lose, royal blue finishes 7th. Take royal blue. Coal Grey vs Black. Ricardo vs Black. Noah and team black have been on a mission to prove the critics wrong. A pleasant surprise has them in the top three with the potential to finish as high as second pending results elsewhere. They received a large boost recently with the return of their first pick King, and they are looking more dangerous than anyone expected. Expect another lopsided result here relegating coal grey to a last place finish. Take black. Predicted Finish: White 6-1 Black 5-2 Carolina Blue 5-2 Red 4-3 Purple 3-4 Green 2-5 Royal Blue 2-5 Coal Grey 1-6

Now that standings, stats, and scores are updated we have some big questions and stories to watch going into the day. 1. I can’t see a scenario where the winner of Red vs White does not finish first. This is based on tiebreakers of head-to- head results, and expected outcomes creating a bottle neck of a 3-way or 4-way tie today. 2. Scoring is really up for grabs. Jamie holds a one touchdown lead over Chris, but a bunch of guys are right there with him. I’m taking Joe in this one. Matt feeds him the ball, and he takes the title on YAC. Hopefully Frank really is healthy and not just back, because nobody else on green will stop Joe R once the ball is in his hands. 3. Lots of reports and so called verifications: reported interceptions are: Kitch: 6; Jamie and Bryce 5, Tony 4. 4. Sackmaster is between Peter on white and Waleed on red. So what do we have in store? Two or three awards plus first place overall could all be determined depending what happens between Spack and Joe, white and red, and the efficacy of game planning. What a day for football!
