What QB are you most happy to be drafted by?

What QB gives you best chance to win?

Views Views: 2727
Is there a lack of available QB options, or it some long-standing tradition to always have the same QB's every year?

I won't name anyone in particular, but there are a few QB's who consistently have poor teams and it is apparent this is not due to the teams they are drafting but instead the QB play.

Would it not be more optimal to cycle through QB's who are consistently near the bottom of the league to ensure more parity?

Maybe not cycling but if it seems like a team weakness, the team should be able to identify that and try subbing out for a couple plays? (if they have a player that feels confident enough)

My worry with cycling is that you may cycle through a good QB on a team or mess with a decent QB's momentum/rhythm.

It's only week 2, championship teams weren't built in a day!

I think they were referring moreso to cycling QB's on a yearly basis not a weekly basis

Most new QBs unless they are special talnets, will struggle in their first year. They need patience and to learn. If there is interest, I would suggest having them drafted on Spack or Colin or Noahs team and let them learn and throw during blowouts or meaningless games.

If Dylan has a bad year and goes 2-5 are we not going to let Dylan throw again??? Thats silly. He is going up against QBs that have thrown for decades. Colin, Noah and Spack have won most of the championships in the past 10 years, are we going to fire everyone else??

Nick and Chambers are competitive, Jelani has had 2 great years, Adam has a stronger arm than anyone in the league, Dylan will be fine.

Im not saying we shouldn't be allowing others to try, but I think the problem is overblown.

If anyone is interested in throwing I would encourage them to put their name forward by sending an email to the league. Those interested will be considered if a spot opens up (2 opened up this year with Miller retiring and Todd moving away) or if the league grows in the number of teams. The QB role is more difficult than most people realize. The best way to see that would be to come out for pickup which happens every Saturday after the league ends throughout the winter and try your hand at it.

And I'm Captain Checkdown?

Sure, I don't have an Adam or Colin arm, but I still throw it down the field a couple of times a game.

Look out Rodney - you may have competition for fastest over 40 this year!!

Last week - red v blue - 45 year old, 206 lb, Craig Klassen chases down - and catches- 18 year old, 160lb, Brandt; after having starting from a dead stop 12 yards behind where Brandt caught the ball. If only we had a drone to have recorded this feat, so we could put it on YouTube for all of Brandt's friends and family to see!!

BTW - QB's are overrated. Not sure why we are wasting valuable data storage in Drews basement to discuss those prima donnas. Defence wins championships!!

King - you are about to experience the most unfriendliest of places for a QB to be - Snyder Island! And this place will steal that little ball of yours right out of the air; and magically transform it into points! Boom#!!!

Everyone is thinking it but no one wants to say it. Chambers is not improving at QB. 7 and 6 points is really bad for this league. If they don't beat King they are looking at a winless season (unless the other QB is a no show).

Chambers was not there week 1.

This week he lost to Spack. A lot of teams will lose badly to Spack.

I would challenge Vet to stand up and see what he could do. We have a long list of QBs that attempted and failed, dome still in the league: drew, tj, jj, to.

Well week 2 has come and gone, ive correctly picked 7 of the 8 games, most are easy games to pick, Green looked good last week which I didn’t predict vs Orange albiet missing Mike. What have we learned?
Spack and the hobbits are dominant.
People are already grumbling about QB play, in September, when numbers aren’t consistent and there isnt a big sample size in the young season.
Green and Element6 are looking good.
Frank is actually good at football!?
The clarkins are looking to run away with the scoring title.
Oh, and I am a great Analyst for MNF!!!

Week 3 picks: A lot of tough games to pick.
Game 1
Grey vs Red
Well Someone is getting their first win here! Both King and Chambers have struggled in the early goings. Red lost a close one to green without their QB and lost to spack so this is a true lipmis test for them. Grey has lost to Noah in an early season match and now team white. TJ might make Luc look silly out there, Luc has the speed, TJ the hands and moves like jagger and the football IQ. Will and Adrian are pure speed and I am unsure Alex, Mark or Dustin can keep up. Potter and Synderface could be intresting, only because of their talking. Miguel and Pete are similar players to cancel eachother out. Assuming all rosters are here for the main players, I have to go Team red
Red wins a low scoring, possibility ugly affair, much like the affair’s of the late great JFK. 20-12
Green Vs Blue
Ahhhhh the finals rematch! Last time these two teams faced off, Spack and The Hobbits of the Shire put a spanking on Jelani and Z. Different teams this year. Will the result be different? Z cant cover the Clarkins, nor can Mario, nor can anyone in the league perhaps with spack throwing to them. Cant go to a zone, Spack will eat that up. White will score a lot here against a stellar Green defence. Jelani, Mario, Taylor, and Kitch have been stars on D with Folco but their pride will be bruised here. Greens offence will score though, this wont be a blow out. They wont be able to cover Z with speed alone, and Mario for jump balls will be effective. Russ looked good in his debut last week. G Money has the shiney gloves that cant miss. Brandt, Cain and Staff may have a long day on D. That said. Blue Wins.
Blue wins the finals rematch, and perhaps finals preview? 42-32
Orange vs Element6
Will Orange have their full squad out? Yet to see it. Both QB’s are stellar. Colin has more weapens with Ben, Tim and Mike if they all show up. They will score a bundle on O. Noah’s top two targets will have trouble getting open vs Orange’s athletes and Joespeh James. Frank and T.O will find their catches but the misleanous players will need to step up this week if Element6 wants a chance to win this game. Kalo Time? Jay, Tim, Rodney and Junius have proved effective for Colin on both O and D. Orange wins this one if they get their full squad out. This two teams will be meeting again in the playoffs.
Orange wins 28-22

White vs Black
Nick’s team is looking good this year, Nick is throwing well as well. Bieber showed he can score from anywhere on the field still. His attendance seems to be in question every week, OBJ?? Neeraj has really stepped up as a number one target if Fab shuts down the Biebs. Can the Biebs cover Fab? Dylan may be able to exploit this matchup as he has shown flashes of brilliance with a few untimely drops last week. If Jake, Drew and Muragtrod can catch some balls they can keep this bad boy close. The Brooks and Jomo can play D but Dylan extends plays which can make it difficult on them. This will be a close game if the rosters show up. Black will not stop Neerja but they will limit his success. I hope Black and their inexperience and potential for drops can win a close one. I need to see it first before I pick them, White Wins
White wins a close one. 30-24

Updated Power Rankings
Blue (No change)
Green (Up 1 after knocking off Orange)
Element #6 (Up 1)
Orange (Down 2 after the loss to green)
White (No change after looking good last week)
Black (Up 2 even with the loss, played well, untimely missed plays that were there)
Red(down 1, a loss to spack is no big deal but they didn’t look good on O)
Grey ( down 2 Another ugly loss to an average team)

White should win by at least 40 points since I'm going to rack up at least 14 sacks against Goulet with that slow speed of his.

Sure, everyone wants to leave the draft with a great seasoned QB, a great group of guys and a really good shot at winning it all. Unfortunately that only happens for 37.5% of the players in the WMFL (players picked by Colin, Noah and Jelani).

The real question is,
Would you rather have:
- a winning season with Spack
- a losing season with Chambers

I'd take a losing season with:
Chambers, Nick, Dylan, King, Sabadin, Tim, JJ, Woody, Fitzy, etc over Sp-Fack

Grey vs Red
Both Red and Grey looking like they are struggling offence this year. It will be low scoring .Like 6 0

Red with 1 TJ TD

Green Vs Blue
Game of the Week!

This will be an exciting game to watch . Both fighting for 1st place. Going with a champ repeat and say Spack moves the ball down every drive. While Green will move the ball as well but not as many times as Blue .

Blue by 14

Orange vs Carbon

Personnel will always be a problem with team Orange that just the way it is . Noah will move the ball But I see Colin moving the ball better this week.

Orange by 6

White vs Black

Blacks 1st win Congratts

Black by 8

Have fun out there !!

Wanted to stick around and talk trash about Frank from the Hill, but then he had an end zone interception to save a score, and another pick in the end zone a few drives later that he housed from 110 yards out. That's when I just got in my car and left, same with everybody else. Good job and all, Frank, but you emptied The Hill.

My INT TD was remminissant of Harrison's Superbowl pick 6 vs the cardinals.

I'd like to thank TJ and the other hill goers for their unconditional support. Your heckling made me step up my game.

I would like to note however that my interceptions got marked in the sacks category and not interceptions. Could the stat checker correct that please?

Great game White even being short handed. We made a good comeback after throwing two early picks. Thanks to black for letting us pick up THE GAME CHANGER KLASSEN. Gave us old guys a chance to recouperate. Nice field goal BIEBS. I was another monster. Just ask Drew as he watched it fly by.
