Posted By: Dave Posted On: Aug 12th, 2015 Views: 8019 | Can I block with JJ? I have some tight white football pants in the closet. I think we'd make a cute couple. |
Posted By: JJ can kiss my azz Posted On: Aug 12th, 2015 Views: 8015 | Why in the world is that POS coming back...can someone tell him it's 2015 and not 1985, when at best he may have been an average player. Hang em up permanently old man. |
Posted By: Dave Posted On: Aug 12th, 2015 Views: 8008 | Seems a little harsh.
If nothing else, JJ brings this board to life. |
Posted By: Two a days Posted On: Aug 12th, 2015 Views: 8006 | If jj is still doing two a days he's in better shape than most of you snot nosed 20 something's. |
Posted By: WMFL Posted On: Aug 12th, 2015 Views: 8004 | Only 2 more weekends before league play so if you haven't been out to start getting in shape. Had another great turnout last week so hope to replicate again.

Posted By: WMFL Posted On: Aug 14th, 2015 Views: 7968 | Draft Party - Time Change
To accommodate our quarterbacks, the 2015 draft has been moved from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. All are still welcome to come earlier for a beer with their fellow WMFL’ers. See you at the draft. Draft Party: Thursday, August 20th 8:00 PM at Crown & Firkin (112 Colborne St. East), Whitby. |
Posted By: WMFL Posted On: Aug 14th, 2015 Views: 7965 | For those who want to know, here are the QBs for the 2015 season:
Colin Hadden Dave Spackman Jason Chambers Jelani Adams John Miller Nick Mikos Noah Tumin Todd Stansbury |
Posted By: WTF Posted On: Aug 17th, 2015 Views: 7935 | I heard there is a 6 man block this year. Is that allowed? |
Posted By: Dave Posted On: Aug 17th, 2015 Views: 7933 | From what I understand it's fine as long as everyone is related. I'm not sure what defines "related" however.
|
Posted By: Raider 91 Posted On: Aug 17th, 2015 Views: 7925 | Who are these "paid" refs. Is the league using the same refs Oshawa does, or worse Bills kids from Ajax? |
Posted By: Raheem the Inuit Dream Posted On: Aug 17th, 2015 Views: 7919 | Related can be Eskimo brothers, per the league constitution. |
Posted By: Glenn Clarkin Posted On: Aug 17th, 2015 Views: 7913 | Im blocking with my kids X 4 and my brother |
Posted By: WMFL Posted On: Aug 17th, 2015 Views: 7908 | Welcome to the 2015 season for the WMFL.
Just a reminder that the draft will be taking place on Thursday, August 20th at 8pm at the Crown & Firkin in Whitby (112 Colborne St E, Whitby, ON L1N 4K2). All are welcome! https://goo.gl/maps/NJgO4 By Sunday, following the draft, team lists and the season schedule will be posted on the website. Please take note of playing times for Saturday, August 29th. In addition to the head referee supplied by the league, each team will be required to supply 1 player ref per week. Your QB will reach out for volunteers. Looking forward to another great season! |
Posted By: Mike Posted On: Aug 18th, 2015 Views: 7896 | If the league is allowing Eskimo brothers, does that mean Duncan can block with half the league? |
Posted By: TJ Hadden Posted On: Aug 18th, 2015 Views: 7889 | I had requested to be blocked with my Hadden brothers. Why was this denied? I have clearly identified as TJ Hadden for a few years now, with this message board as my proof.
Sorry I won't be there at the draft, boys -- this one looks like it'll be fun! |

Who's team is a bust? Let the discussion begin! |
Posted By: ANY Team Posted On: Aug 21st, 2015 Views: 7732 | All teams look very even all the way down .
looks like anyone of these teams can be in the finals. I hope attendance will be good this year cuz if anyone of these teams is missing 2 to 3 players they could be in a miss match trouble . 1st up ! Broncos Colin Hadden Mike Hadden Chris Pierre Dylan Boyle Liam Hadden Drew Walker Andrew Murgatroyd Rich Hadden Tim McCaskie Peter Kalo Cameron Dunnett Dave Warburton Great depth with this team lots of experience and talent could be a repeat. TO and Mike that's tough to cover Drew on D they have the power to stop and score very dangerous Team. Rank #3 2nd up! Chiefs Nick Mikos Frank Katradis Giorgio Mikos Desmond Johnson Steve Matthews Joe James Jake Walsh Dan Fowler Steve Oleksik Paul Ryan Billy Katradis Shawn Williamson Had the opportunity to take the Clarkins Block but passes and went with singles players . Not a bad choice as they are all solid players. May have some attendance issues Rank 8th 3rd up! Seahawks Noah Tumin Akeem Foster Fabrice Kabongo Kyle Clarkin Nick Clarkin Tyler Clarkin Steven Clarkin Glenn Clarkin Bryan Clarkin Mark Murray Alex Haeussler Aaron Baechler Oops! I did again ! Is that what Naoh will be saying about his number one pick after a few games Will He show up or Go up. Not sure! I think it was the right choice. The Noah's Choice. Clarkins as a backup is not too shabby! Rank #1 as I have to assume he will show! 4th up Jets Dave Spackman Dave Zmozynski Jordan McDonald Chris Heath Dylan Goulet Luc Samanski Ryan Stedman-Smith Russ Beverely JJ McCallum Sean Harding Junius Jules-Soungie Stevins Juene I think Dave always drafts well he does his research. Or does someone else do it for him? Look for Goulet gang to tear it up (I think that is what Dave is hoping for) with the big Z and Heath. Rank #2nd 5th up! Dolphins Jason Chambers Ben Blanche Frank Siciliano Jason Schleiffer Brion Hendry Mike Schleiffer Bryan DeSouza Craig Klassen Matt Snyder Pete Hazlett Noah Hazlett Doug McKeon lots of depth ! very strong team can chambers make it happen ? I want him to ! oh how I want him to I just don't see him at the very top! Rank # 5th 6th up Raiders Jelani Adams TJ Bradimore Matt Rafuse Don Fry Matthew Brooks Darryl Cain Jason Best Mario Listro Rodney Hubenig William Jeyaveeran Jason DeSouza Dave Rafuse Bit of a unknown here as a new QB is always tough starting out! Great team just unsure of new QB in this league. advice would be to be patient! Rank #6th Lions - Todd Stansbury Tim Wray Ben Payne Adam King Wes King Brad Smart Andrew Staff Jonathan Binder Charles Higney Kevin Higney Ryan Frech Kent Clark Same as Raiders as the new QB is always a tough start Rank #7th Saints - John Miller Jason Beaver Mike Rafuse Chris Fealy Matt Siekowski Jeff Hernandez Neeraj Gautama Jomo Hanley Taylor Eskins Rodney Eskins Chris Dufty Ciaran Hickson Great Drafting and lots of depth and talent this could be a easy number 1 team as of all of the teams are so close. Rank #4th Have Fun everyone!! remember its just a game ! |

Hope everyone has a great season and good luck! |
Posted By: Amari Cooper Posted On: Aug 24th, 2015 Views: 7536 | Week 1 -- Saints vs. Raiders ... Battle of the Rafuse's.
Prop bets: More TD's -- Mike Rafuse (Saints) or Dave Rafuse (Raiders) Most receptions between the Bionic Knee Brothers -- Neeraj (Saints) or TJ Hadden (Raiders) Intact Employee of the Game: John Miller (Saints) or Darryl Cain (Raiders) Most Impactful Underrated Players: Jomo Hanley & Taylor Eskins (Saints) Mario Listro & Rodney Hubenig (Raiders) What Injury Knocks John Miller Out of Game: Knee (4-to-1), Arm (8-to-1), Father Time (16-to-1) |
Posted By: Mike Bradimore Posted On: Aug 24th, 2015 Views: 7489 | Complete Farce TJ wasnt allowed to be with the Hadden's... Long running fact he has been brought in by the family and had a legal name change |
Posted By: Adam Schefter Posted On: Aug 24th, 2015 Views: 7462 | My sources close to the league executive have suggested that the decision to prevent the Bradimore/Hadden familial block was based on undeniable evidence from Hadden family archives that Bradimore's application for Hadden family status was rejected by the family itself in 2012. The information the league used indicated that a Hadden family assessment of Bradimore's alcohol consumption and tolerance abilities were deemed, "well beneath standard for a practicing Hadden." |
Posted By: Tank Posted On: Aug 25th, 2015 Views: 7380 | Dear @ANYteam,
How are you going to rank us 8th? You based your ranking on our POTENTIAL attendance? We have ONE (1) player whose attendance is questionable in the worst case scenario and you drop us to eighth (8th)? There is a number 1 taken in this draft that doesn't even matchup to our number 3! Your ranking process is as accurate as a sundial determining the weather. Re-evaluate your process and try again! I rank us #1 No other rankings needed because... If you aint first, you're last. -Ricky Bobby |
Posted By: On Glue Posted On: Aug 25th, 2015 Views: 7377 | Dear Tank,
Were you at the draft? That first rounder your talking about was taken to get the real first rounder (in a block) on the way back. No-one on your team can cover their second round pick. You entire team will get "RAF-Banged" before they have time to drop their shorts. I'd rank your team 9th if I could. |
Posted By: Snyder Posted On: Aug 25th, 2015 Views: 7367 | What a great time of year. . .
1. The WMFL starts again 2. NFL season is just around the corner 3. And another opportunity to school the hated Hadden clan This week, gentlemen of the WMFL, you will get to see an exhibition of domination as the mighty Dolphins put some pound down on the Broncos. Dolphins are so clearly the most talented team, I struggle with the need to play the season out. Nonetheless, the throat-stomp to the championship begins on Saturday! As an aside - tank, a sundial does let you tell time. Miller can show you how they work. And glue - what in the world is RAF-banging? Is this a fetish? |
Posted By: Props Posted On: Aug 25th, 2015 Views: 7366 | I'll have to take Dave Rafuse in the TD catches. I would love to take Raf but he is going to have a hard time getting open against his brother and after seeing Raf drop balls in Coed there is no way he is going to be able to catch a ball playing against the big boys. |
Posted By: @TANK Posted On: Aug 25th, 2015 Views: 7357 | The real reason why your team is ranked 8th is because your 1st and 2nd pick cry more about calls and getting tagged hard than catch touchdowns #CryMeARiver |
Posted By: daveC Posted On: Aug 26th, 2015 Views: 7311 | If it's not too late, I'll request a Packers #87 for this year as I'm doing a Jordy Nelson.
What no Packers in league this year? my loss. Be more fun if I was pulling a Josh Gordon (sweater I wore last year), but no, I had to pull a Jordy Nelson If J-Gun can come back after 10 years and still fit in his whites, we'll see if I can pull the same next year. Maybe see you guys later this year for some reffing. Good Luck to all! |
Posted By: TJ ... Hadden? Bradimore? I don't know anymore ... Posted On: Aug 26th, 2015 Views: 7264 | Sorry to hear about your injury, Mr. Carter. Hopefully we see you out at the fields one of these Saturdays anyways, and that you're back to full strength by next year. You're one of the mainstays of the league, and one of the very best examples of why I think this league is so great to play in. |
Posted By: Snyder Posted On: Aug 26th, 2015 Views: 7257 | I don't get it Carter - what sort if injury did you sustain? A choda injury? |
Posted By: Tank Posted On: Aug 26th, 2015 Views: 7231 | @@TANK
Any half decent player in this league would respond with their own name in the box. I'm not surprised you are hiding behind an anonymous name seeing as your inability to keep up with the big boys has resulted in you resorting to playing ball like my grandmother. At least she slaps me with authority and not like a 12 year old girl. Your style of play is embarrassing to any respectable football player. #WornAndWashedUp See you Saturday. @On Glue I think you are mistaking a Raf-Banging for a McGangbang. The burgers you stuff down your throat are not a football play and/or term. |
Posted By: Amari Cooper Posted On: Aug 27th, 2015 Views: 7211 | I agree with Tank. Good trash talk should be funny and entertaining, not denigrating and attacking, and one should be able to put their name to it. Or, at the very least, a very poor alias that is very easy to figure out for anyone in the know.
p.s. McGangBang's from McDonald's are delicious. Any and all correlations to terrible crimes against women are unfortunate; it's one of those things where somebody said something terrible but it's funny and yet still terrible. And then it's funnier, and more terrible, and then you're drunk and you want to eat garbage from McDonald's. And laugh because you're terrible. And it's funny. It's an unfortunate name, but a wonderful burger. p.p.s. violence against women is not funny. it's deplorable. and if you ever do it, you're a dick and i want to fight you. seriously, it's not funny at all. don't be a dick. p.p.p.s. The p.s. stuff is all funny and terrible, and yet the p.p.p.s. stuff is all not funny and sick and horrible. i know it's confusing, but it's all quite simple, really. p.p.p.p.s. the saints suck, and they shouldn't even put jerseys on their sorry heads saturday, because Derek "Jelani" Carr is going to have an historic WMFL debut. |
Posted By: Dave Z Posted On: Aug 27th, 2015 Views: 7184 | J. E. T. S JETS JETS JETS! |
Posted By: Amari Cooper Posted On: Aug 27th, 2015 Views: 7172 | The real life Jets are trash, but the WMFL Jets look legit. I didn't see Dylan Goulet and his buddies, or I'd have seriously considered that block. But we got Matt Brooks in that round, and he's a terrific player, so we still done good. And we got that Silver & Black Commitment to Excellence, so there's that. Plus we got Don Fry ... aka "The Fry Guy" ... aka "Frying Guys" ... aka "I've never seen this person before in my life and i have no idea anything about him so it's hard to prop him up here on this board" Guy.
As for the Saints and their "team", this is going to be the Raiders collective reaction after Saturday's game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4L02qm-CxlM |
Posted By: RaF JR Jorworski Posted On: Aug 27th, 2015 Views: 7164 | Don "Chef" Fry is going to be cooking guys all game on that field! I seriously think he is the greatest player I have ever seen! He is definitely playing catch on our front street at a WMFL LEVEL...its UNBELIEVEABLE! He was a cant miss in the draft!
Dons Football Credentials - He has matching cleats and gloves - He tries the bestest - He is a Saints fan - He is better than Mike Rafuse When its all said and done he will go to football heaven! |
Posted By: Klassen Posted On: Aug 28th, 2015 Views: 7075 | Heads up to everyone for tomorrow. It appears as though Henry street may still be closed for construction as it has been all summer. You will need to go down to Annes Street and come back up on Harriet street to access the school parking lot. |
Posted By: Vegas Odds Posted On: Aug 28th, 2015 Views: 7051 | Dolphins (Chambers) vs Broncos (Colin) -> Broncos (-7.5)
Raiders (Jelani) vs Saints (Miller) -> Raiders (-3) Lions (Todd) vs Seahawks (Noah) -> Seahawks (-4.5) Chiefs (Nick) vs Jets (Spackman) -> Jets (-10.5) |
Posted By: Amari Cooper Posted On: Aug 28th, 2015 Views: 7048 | Dolphins (Chambers) vs Broncos (Colin) -> Broncos (-7.5)
I'd still take Colin in a heads-up, as he's a proven winner in this league at QB, and that's the difference-maker in most football leagues. Still, tho -- give me the Dolphins to cover. Outside chance at an upset, depending on how some of the unknowns perform. I think their depth is going to help them this season. Raiders (Jelani) vs Saints (Miller) -> Raiders (-3) Raiders by 3 is an absolute joke. I'm assuming it's a typo, and you meant to post Raiders (-30). Either way, give me the Raiders to cover comfortably. I'd ask that the WMFL refs keep a close eye out on Mike "Gregg Williams" Rafuse, who has been overheard referencing the 2012 Bountygate, citing the years-old lapse as long enough to fire it up again without getting caught. I think he might be targeting me, Amari Cooper, and my bad knee, which you can reference me having from Google from November 22, 2014, in the Alabama against Western Carolina game. True story. Lions (Todd) vs Seahawks (Noah) -> Seahawks (-4.5) Gonna go with the Seahawks here, and for similar reasons as to why I'm rolling with Colin -- Noah is a proven winner in this league. That, and the curiosity to see his 1st rounder work, make this a match-watch affair. Regardless, even if that pick doesn't pan out, this team has the heavily trending #TooManyClarkins block, so I don't see how a loss is even possible. Todd has a tonne of upside, and I'm looking forward to watching him work this year. And he's drafted a very solid team top to bottom, which is impressive for a QB new to the league. But he also took those Lions jerseys in the jersey re-draft, so part of me wants him to do the 2008 Lions proud and not win a game. Chiefs (Nick) vs Jets (Spackman) -> Jets (-10.5) Even though 10.5 is a lot of points to give, particularly early in the season, I think the Jets roster is better top to bottom than the Chiefs. That's not to disparage the Chiefs team, I don't think they're significantly worse ... but they just don't *quite* matchup at each draft slot, in my humble opinion. |
